Andrea Pinna

Andrea Pinna is a fintech expert with substantial experience in central banking and academia. Currently serving as the Deputy Head of the E2E Product Design and Delivery Division at the European Central Bank since April 2015, Andrea focuses on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and securities post-trading, while also leading initiatives related to the digital euro. Prior roles include market infrastructure expert and lead expert in an innovation team. Academic experience spans various positions including assistant professor, visiting lecturer, and researcher at institutions such as Queen Mary College University of London and the University of Sassari. Andrea holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of London and has pursued advanced education in management information systems at Cambridge Judge Business School, among other prestigious programs.
