Gianluca Trevisan

Gianluca Trevisan is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of the Credit Risk Expert Division at the European Central Bank since June 2014. In this role, Gianluca is responsible for promoting the safety of banks under European Banking Supervision, ensuring effective credit risk management frameworks, and harmonizing supervisory approaches in assessing securitization transactions. Prior to this, Gianluca led the Analysis and Methodological Support Division, focusing on risk analysis and systemic risk reports for the European banking sector. With a background in banking supervision at Banca d'Italia since 1996, Gianluca progressed from analyst to Head of Supervisory Team, overseeing complex banking groups and coordinating team activities, including mergers and acquisitions. Gianluca holds a degree in Economics from Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata, awarded with honors in 1998.
