Nicu Stirbet

Nicu Stirbet is an experienced professional with a strong background in banking supervision, economic analysis, and digital transformation. Currently serving as an On-Site Inspector at the European Central Bank since April 2019, Nicu focuses on risks related to business models, digital transformation, and climate change. Prior roles include Banking Supervision Analyst within the Single Supervisory Mechanism, Economist at the National Bank of Romania, and various positions at Procter & Gamble and the European Commission. As a co-founder and Chief Enthusiastic Officer of Eco-Village Valeni, Nicu has advanced eco-tourism initiatives in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve while managing a diverse team. Nicu's education includes advanced programs from INSEAD and degrees in finance and legal studies from the University of Aberdeen and WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).
