Ingela Rumenius is a seasoned communication and policy professional with extensive experience in public health and regulatory affairs. Currently serving as a Communication Officer at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control since April 2009, Ingela has held key roles including Press and Media Coordinator and Editor within the Public Health Capacity and Communication Unit. Prior to this, Ingela worked at the European Food Safety Authority, where responsibilities included institutional and international liaison, and secretarial roles for management bodies. Earlier positions include Regulatory Officer at the EFTA Surveillance Authority, Regulatory Affairs Manager at Orkla ASA in Brussels, and Deputy Editor for EU Food Law. Ingela holds advanced degrees in International Politics from Université libre de Bruxelles, European Relations from the University of Amsterdam, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Handelshogskolan vid Goteborgs Universitet.
