Sabrina Bacci's work experience includes various roles in the field of vaccine preventable diseases and immunization. Sabrina first worked as a Public Health Registrar at Istituto Superiore di Sanità in 2006, before joining ECDC as an EPIET Fellow at Statens Serum Institut from 2007 to 2009. Sabrina then worked as an EUVAC.NET Epidemiologist at Statens Serum Institut from 2009 to 2011. Sabrina returned to ECDC in 2011 as an Expert in Vaccine Preventable Diseases (interim position) and continued to work in various roles within the organization. These roles include Expert Vaccine Preventable Diseases from 2013 to 2017, Senior Expert Vaccine Preventable Diseases from 2017 to 2022, Group Leader Vaccine Preventable Diseases Surveillance and Studies from March 2022 to September 2022, and currently as the Head of Section for Vaccine Preventable Diseases and Immunization starting in October 2022.
Sabrina Bacci completed their MSc in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London, from 2005 to 2006. Prior to this, they attended the University La Sapienza - Medical School, where they earned their Medical Doctor degree in Medicine and Surgery. Sabrina then pursued further specialization at the same university, completing a degree in Specialist in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine, with a focus on Public Health and Epidemiology.
