Stanislav Danchev has extensive experience in digital transformation and governance within the public sector, currently serving as the Deputy Head of the Digital Transformation Unit and Head of Digital Governance at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since August 2016. Responsibilities include overseeing IT program management, quality, security, and enterprise architecture aligned with ECDC's strategic goals. Previously, Stanislav worked as the Deputy Head of Unit and Head of ICT-Quality Section, managing resource planning and operations. From 2006 to 2016, Stanislav held the position of Director CLO at the National Revenue Agency, focusing on EU cooperation in VAT matters. Additional experience includes serving as a National Expert for the European Commission, managing major trans-European Customs projects. Earlier, Stanislav was the Head of Department at the General Tax Directorate, instrumental in establishing the Central Liaison Office in Bulgaria in preparation for EU accession. Stanislav holds a Master’s degree in Computer Systems from Technical University Sofia and completed secondary education at the 30th high school "Zname na mira."
