Taina Niskanen

Taina Niskanen is an expert in food- and waterborne diseases with extensive experience in public health and food safety. Since February 2011, Taina has been associated with the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), focusing on disease prevention strategies. Prior to this role, Taina worked at the Finnish Food Safety Authority, Evira, as a Senior Officer from August 2004 to January 2011. Taina holds a DVM PhD in Veterinary Medicine with a specialization in food safety from the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
