Cas van de Ven

Cas van de Ven is an experienced public affairs professional currently serving as an Assistant at the European Commission in the DG MOVE C. 3 department focusing on the Single European Rail Area. Transitioning from a Blue Book Trainee role within DG MOVE C. 1 concentrating on road transport policy, Cas has also held positions as a Teaching Assistant at KlasseStudent and as a Policy Intern at Airlines for Europe (A4E), where responsibilities included advocacy campaign support and research on aviation policy issues. Previous experience includes serving as an Assistant for European Affairs at KLM, where contributions were made to policy development and external representation, as well as a Public Affairs & Media Relations Intern at Nuffic, featuring public affairs strategies and stakeholder engagement. Cas van de Ven holds a Master of Arts in European Public Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from Maastricht University, complemented by an Erasmus Exchange Programme in Political Science at Universidad de Salamanca.
