Eleni Chronopoulou

Eleni Chronopoulou is a seasoned legal and policy adviser with extensive expertise in data protection, privacy, and security. Currently serving at the European Commission since October 2019, Eleni specializes in law enforcement matters. Previously held positions include a member of the PILC Board at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from March 2021 to March 2023, and as Senior Manager of Policy EMEA for BSA | The Software Alliance. Eleni also has experience as a Political and Legal Adviser at the European Parliament, focusing on data protection and migration issues. Educational qualifications include an LLM in International and European Law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and an LLB in Law from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, complemented by an Erasmus program at the University of Helsinki.
