Eleonora Esposito currently serves as a Seconded National Expert and Case Handler Officer in the Digital Services Unit of DG CONNECT at the European Commission, focusing on enforcing the Digital Services Act and addressing technology-facilitated gender-based violence. In addition to this role, Eleonora is a Research Fellow and Principal Investigator for the WONT-HATE Project at the University of Navarra, which investigates online hate against European women leaders. Previously, Eleonora worked as a Seconded National Expert and Researcher on gender-based violence at the European Institute for Gender Equality and as an Assistant Professor in English Language and Linguistics at Sultan Qaboos University. Academically, Eleonora holds two PhDs in Critical Discourse Studies from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II and Lancaster University, alongside multiple degrees in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language, Cultural, Gender, and Postcolonial Studies, and Language Interpretation and Translation from various institutions.
