Florin Popa

Florin Popa is a seasoned policy officer and team leader at the SG REFORM division of the European Commission, providing technical support to Member States on social and labour market policies since October 2015. Prior experience includes serving as a scientific officer at the Federal Science Policy Office from 2014 to 2015, and as a postdoctoral research fellow at Université catholique de Louvain from 2011 to 2014. Florin Popa has also contributed to academia as a lecturer at Academia de Studii Economice din București between 2002 and 2011. Additional roles include programme coordinator at the National Agency for Community Programmes in the Field of Education and Professional Training from 1998 to 2011. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Bucharest and bachelor's degrees in both Social Sciences from Nottingham Trent University and Philosophy from the University of Bucharest.
