Hrvoje Laurenta

Hrvoje Laurenta is an accomplished cultural leader with extensive experience in the film and arts sector. Currently serving as the Director of Novi prostori kulture since January 2024, Laurenta is also an Expert for the European Commission, contributing to the European Capitals of Culture Selection and Monitoring Expert Panel. Previously, Laurenta held the position of Executive Director at the Zagreb Film Festival for two decades, significantly impacting Croatia's cultural landscape. Additional roles include consulting for the Saudi Film Commission, vice presidency at the Croatian Producers Association, and leadership within various artistic organizations such as Europa Cinemas and the Croatian Independent Cinemas Network. With a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Zagreb and currently pursuing a PhD in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Laurenta continues to shape cultural initiatives and development in the film industry.
