Kieran Coleman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy and regulatory roles within both public and competition sectors. Currently serving as a Policy Officer in the DG Research & Innovation at the European Commission, Kieran contributes to the "Healthy Planet" initiative, focusing on the Horizon Europe Programme and the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030.” Previous experience includes positions as a Case Handler in DG Competition, and leadership roles at Ofgem, including Head of Retail Monitoring and Compliance and Head of Enforcement. Kieran has also held key investigative positions at the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission and the Competition Authority. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Economics from University College Cork, a Postgraduate Diploma in EC Competition Law from King's College London, and an Advanced Diploma in Corporate, White–Collar and Regulatory Crime from The Honorable Society of King's Inns.
