Rene Winkler

Rene Winkler has an extensive work experience in the financial industry, with a focus on IT administration, security operations, and market development. Rene is currently working as the Director of IT Administration & Security Operations at European Commodity Clearing AG since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of IT Administration & Security Operations at the same company from April to December 2021. From 2016 to 2021, Rene held the position of Director at FIMAS GmbH. Before that, they worked at Eurex from 2006 to 2016, where they held various roles including Managing Director, Head of Corporate & Market Development, and Key Account Manager. Rene also has experience working at entory AG as a Senior Consultant and at Dresdner Bank in roles such as Product Development Manager, Business Analyst, and Retail Client Advisor. Their expertise includes CCP projects, business consulting, product development, and relationship management in the capital and money market sectors.

They also attended school from 1996 to 1998, obtaining a degree in Economics (Economist - Wirtschaftsdiplom VWA) from an institution called Economist (Betriebswirt VWA).

In addition, Rene Winkler completed a Bankkaufmann program at Dresdner Bank AG from 1991 to 1994.

Aside from their formal education, Rene Winkler has obtained several certifications, including a Certified Online Team Developer certification from Competence on Top GmbH in October 2023, a Certified Organisation and Business Developer certification from the same institution in December 2019, and a Certified Change Manager certification from the same institution in July 2019.

They have also obtained an APMG Information Security ISO/IEC 27001 (2014) Foundation certification from APMG International in June 2019, a Professional Scrum Master PSM I certification from Scrum.org in June 2018, and a PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from PRINCE2.com in May 2017.
