Carla Hobbs

Deputy Director, European Power Programme at European Council on Foreign Relations

Carla Hobbs has a diverse work experience in the field of foreign relations. Carla started their career as a Trainee at The Times in 2013. Carla then worked as a Researcher at Cytora before joining the European Council on Foreign Relations as a Research Assistant from 2014 to 2016. Carla also served as a Political Officer at the European External Action Service from 2016 to 2018. Carla then returned to the European Council on Foreign Relations where they held various positions including Programme Coordinator, Programme Manager, and currently Deputy Director, starting in September 2023.

Carla Hobbs studied at The University of Edinburgh from 2006 to 2011, earning a Dual Bachelor and Master of Arts degree in History. Carla later attended City, University of London from 2012 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in International Journalism.
