Daniela Cristiana Docan is an expert in statistical data management, currently working with the European Environment Agency since July 2023. Previously, Daniela held the position of Operations Engineer for the DestinE Core Platform at the European Space Agency from July 2022 to June 2023. Daniela has extensive experience in geospatial data management, including contributions to the development of the Forest Information System for Europe and managing the MapMyTree dataflow for the European Commission's "3 Billion Trees" initiative. Alongside a notable teaching career at the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest from 2001 to 2022, Daniela provided technical support for the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive at the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration between 2008 and 2010. Daniela holds a PhD in GIS and cadastre from Universitatea Tehnică de Construcții București and additional certifications from Cisco Networking Academy and FAO eLearning Academy.

We are a major information source for those involved in developing, adopting, implementing and evaluating environmental policy, and also the general public. Currently, the EEA has 33 member countries.
