David Pereira Cartaxo is an accomplished Human Resources expert with extensive experience in recruitment and HR management across various European institutions. Currently serving as a Human Resources Expert at the European Environment Agency since January 2020, David has successfully led competency-driven recruitment initiatives and the implementation of an e-recruitment tool. Previous roles include Human Resources Officer at the European Banking Authority and Senior Recruitment Assistant at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, among others. David holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources Management from ISCTE Business School and has pursued various postgraduate courses related to employee relations, labour law, and diplomatic protocol from renowned institutions including the University of Warsaw.

We are a major information source for those involved in developing, adopting, implementing and evaluating environmental policy, and also the general public. Currently, the EEA has 33 member countries. Mission statement: "The EEA aims to support sustainable development and to help achieve significant and measurable improvement in Europe's environment, through the provision of timely, targeted, relevant and reliable information to policy-making agents and the public."
