Jennifer Grant is a Senior Communications Consultant at the European Environment Agency, overseeing communications for the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service since June 2022. Previously, Jennifer served as a Senior Advisor for Science and Applications at the Netherlands Space Office, where responsibilities included national delegation to ESA’s Earth Observation advisory group and coordination of Dutch Earth Observation Research Strategy. As a consultant for the European Space Agency, Jennifer organized significant conferences and contributed to scientific documentation. With extensive research experience as a Visiting Scientist at Lund University and a Research Fellow at ESA-ESTEC, Jennifer holds a PhD in Remote Sensing and a PgCert in Science Communication and Public Engagement.

The European Environment Agency (EEA) is an agency of the European Union. Our task is to provide sound, independent information on the environment. We are a major information source for those involved in developing, adopting, implementing and evaluating environmental policy, and also the general public. Currently, the EEA has 33 member countries. Mission statement: "The EEA aims to support sustainable development and to help achieve significant and measurable improvement in Europe's environment, through the provision of timely, targeted, relevant and reliable information to policy-making agents and the public."
