Mihai Tomescu is an experienced professional in the field of energy and environment, currently serving as an Expert at the European Environment Agency since January 2013. Prior to this role, Mihai held the position of Policy Officer at the European Commission from October 2006 to December 2012 and worked as a Research Assistant at the International Institute of Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University from September 2005 to October 2006. Mihai earned a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Lund University and a Bachelor's degree from Academia de Studii Economice din București, where Mihai studied from 1998 to 2002.

Currently, the EEA has 33 member countries.
