Diana Alonso Blas is a seasoned professional in data protection, currently serving as the Data Protection Officer and Head of the DP Office at Eurojust since November 2003, where responsibilities include developing the data protection regime and ensuring lawful processing of personal data. Diana is also a trainer and co-founder of the first training and certification course for Data Protection Officers in the EU with the European Institute of Public Administration since June 2013. Previous experience includes a role as a Policy Officer at the European Commission, focusing on data protection and related issues, and serving as a Senior International Officer at the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Early career experience includes research at KU Leuven in data protection and information technology. Diana holds a Master of Laws in European and International Law from KU Leuven, along with degrees in law and European law from Universidad del Pais Vasco.
