Gloria Folguera is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in data protection and intellectual property law. Currently serving as the Data Protection Officer and Legal & DP Coordinator in the Customer Department at the European Union Intellectual Property Office since July 2017, Gloria also holds the position of Consultant Professor for the Master in Digital Publishing at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Additional roles include being a speaker in data protection courses at the European Institute of Public Administration since October 2021 and prior positions such as IP/IT & Data Protection Legal Advisor at Euroclear and IP Legal Analyst at Darts-ip. Gloria's academic background includes a Doctor of Law degree from Esade, a Master of Laws in EU Law from Ghent University, a Postgraduate Degree in Intellectual Property Law from Universitat d'Alacant, as well as a Privacy Management Certificate from Maastricht University.
