Jorge Nunez Ferrer currently serves as the Director for Cohesion and EU Budget at the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR) since March 2023. Simultaneously, Jorge has been an Expert Trainer at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) since June 2017, providing in-depth seminars on the European Union budget to various institutional bodies. Previous experience includes roles as an Associate Senior Research Fellow at CEPS from September 2004 to February 2023, where Jorge led the Recovery and Resilience Reflection Project, and as Chairman of the Finance Working Group for the Smart Cities Stakeholder Platform from January 2012 to December 2013. Earlier positions involved economic analysis at the European Commission, focusing on the Common Agricultural Policy and structural funds, and conducting research on the EU Budget at CEPS. Jorge holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Imperial College London, an MSc from Wye College, and a BSc from the London School of Economics.
