Simon Defat

Simon Defat serves as the Head of Unit of Collateral Management & Transaction Processing at the European Investment Bank, a position held since March 2013, and also leads the Liquidity Planning and Control unit. In addition, Simon has been the Vice-President and Board Member of Luxembourg Developpement since February 2022, where the organization supports and advises small and medium-sized enterprises. Previous roles include serving as Bourgmestre f.f. and Echevin in Neufchâteau, Board Member at Financière Spin-off luxembourgeoise from December 2016 to May 2020, and Business Analyst at the European Investment Bank from 2009 to 2012. Early career experience includes positions as a Business Consultant at Fujitsu Services and Business Analyst at Fortis Insurance Belgium. Simon holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Université de Namur and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from IESN Namur.
