Melina Kapeliou

Melina Kapeliou is an experienced legal professional with a focus on governance, audit, and investment structures. Since December 2013, Melina has held various leadership positions at the European Investment Fund (EIF), including Head of Division for Governance and Audit & Institutional Policy, as well as roles in legal counsel specializing in guarantees and securitization. Prior to this, Melina gained valuable experience as an Associate at Fried Frank, focusing on M&A and capital markets, and worked as a Research Assistant at Harvard Law School. Early career roles include positions as a Capital Markets Analyst at the European Commission, an International Lawyer at Debevoise & Plimpton, and an intern at the European Parliament. Melina holds an LL.M. in Corporate Law and Governance from Harvard Law School, an LL.M. in Finance from the Institute for Law and Finance (Goethe University Frankfurt), and a Law Degree from the Faculty of Law, Athens.
