Ana Yturriaga Saldanha has extensive work experience in various roles within the European Union. Ana is currently the Head of Learning and Development of the European Parliament. Prior to this, they served as the Head of the European School of Administration within the European Union from 2019 to 2021. From 2012 to 2019, Ana worked at the European Commission as the Head of sector for internal consultancy, internal coaching, and Communication. Earlier in their career, they were a trainee at Clarin, a prominent newspaper, radio station, and TV chain in Argentina from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, Ana held the position of Communications Manager for DG enlargement and worked as a Political desk member and EU negotiator with various countries including Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Cyprus during their tenure at the European Commission from 1994 to 2004.

Ana Yturriaga Saldanha has a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and German from University College Dublin, which they obtained from 1987 to 1990. Ana then pursued a Masters in European Studies with a focus on Politics and Administration at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, from 1991 to 1992. Later, in 2004, they earned a Masters in Journalism from Universidad de 'San Andrés'. Additionally, Ana also has a background in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, although specific dates for this education were not provided.
