Gerrit Potoms

Gerrit Potoms is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of the Hybrid Hosting Unit at the European Parliament since April 2004, where responsibilities include general management of finance and human resources, along with implementing the Unit's strategic objectives. Previously, Gerrit held various roles at the European Parliament, including Acting Director and Head of the Corporate IT Systems Unit. Before joining the European Parliament, Gerrit worked at ASCii nv/sa as Head of the IT Department and Software Project Manager, and at ESAT/VISICS as a Software Engineer. Gerrit began a career in research at KU Leuven's Departement Elektrotechniek - ESAT. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science from KU Leuven, obtained between 1991 and 1996, along with secondary education from Onze-Lieve-Vrouwecollege in Antwerpen.
