Sergi Barrera

Sergi Barrera currently serves as the Head of Office at the European Parliament since September 2008, overseeing liaison offices responsible for institutional communication activities that engage citizens in the European democratic process. Previously, Sergi worked as a Press Officer at the European Parliament's Office in Barcelona, where communication strategies were devised and implemented, and relations with various stakeholders were managed. In addition to roles at the European Parliament, Sergi has participated as a short-term observer in multiple OSCE/ODIHR election observation missions in Albania, Georgia, and the Republic of Moldova. Earlier experience includes working as a Press Officer for the Generalitat de Catalunya and contributor to Catalan public radio stations. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and a Higher Education Studies Diploma in International Relations and European Integration from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
