Konstantinos Gkoumas

Konstantinos Gkoumas is an experienced professional in knowledge management and scientific research, currently serving as an Administrative Adviser in the Communication and Policy Feedback sector at the European Research Executive Agency since February 2023. Previously, Gkoumas worked as a Programme Officer at the European Commission, focusing on transport research and innovation, particularly in autonomous vehicles and transport systems. Gkoumas has also held academic positions, including a Teaching Assistant role at Politecnico di Milano and research fellowships at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and the University of Göttingen. As a co-founder and partner at StroNGER S.r.l., Gkoumas contributed to various projects while gaining foundational experience as a civil engineer at CO.RE Ingegneria. Gkoumas holds a PhD in Infrastructure and Transportation Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma and a postdoctoral degree in Applied Optimization from the University of Göttingen.
