Manuel Fernandez Cruz has extensive experience in research coordination and project management within European research agencies. Currently, Manuel serves as Task Coordinator and Team Leader for the Expert Monitors Contracting and Payment Team at the European Research Executive Agency (REA) since January 2013, focusing on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships programme. Prior to this role, Manuel worked as an Operational Verificator Agent and Call Coordinator at the European Research Council, contributing to the ERC Proof of Concept initiative. Earlier experience includes positions as a Project Advisor and Project Officer for the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, advising on project management within the Enterprise Europe Network, and serving as a Technology Transfer & European R&D Advisor at the Brussels Enterprise Agency. Additional research experience was gained at IMEC and the European Commission's JRC, focusing on advanced detector technologies. Manuel holds a Licencee in Physics from the Université libre de Bruxelles.
