Raya Raychinova

Raya Raychinova is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in EU law and policy, currently serving as a Legal Advisor and Project Officer at the European Research Executive Agency since September 2021. Prior experience includes working as a Program Officer at the European Commission, Legal Adviser at Milieu Ltd, and Regional Development Attaché at the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria to the EU. Raya has a solid foundation in handling infringements, transposition, and enforcement of EU environmental law, along with drafting formal legal documents and representing the Directorate-General for Environment in various meetings. Additionally, experience at CMS Cameron McKenna and Mcarroll Law Firm involved providing legal advice on energy, real estate, corporate, and construction matters to foreign investors and local clients. Raya holds an LL.M. in Energy and Environmental Law from KU Leuven and a Master of Law from Sofia University.
