Monika Gawalko

Monika Gawalko is a highly experienced professional in the field of cardiology, currently serving as a Communication Coordinator and Nucleus member of the ESC Working Group on e-cardiology at the European Society of Cardiology since 2022. Gawalko is also a member of the ESC Social Media Editorial Team and an EAPC Young Ambassador. In addition to this role, Gawalko is a Postdoctoral Researcher and EP Fellow at the Centre for Heart Rhythm Disorders, Royal Adelaide Hospital, starting in September 2024. Gawalko has a strong foundation as a Cardiology Resident and a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Medical University of Warsaw, along with a Postgraduate Fellowship at the Central Teaching Clinical Hospital. Previous research experiences include positions at Maastricht UMC+, the Cardiovascular Research Institute Maastricht, University of Duisburg-Essen, and Københavns Universitet. Gawalko holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine from Medical University of Warsaw and is currently pursuing an Associate Professor degree at the same institution.
