Stefan Agewall

Stefan Agewall is an accomplished cardiologist and academic with extensive experience in cardiovascular pharmacology. Serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the European Heart Journal - Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy since May 2014, Stefan has been instrumental in establishing a new journal focused on clinical cardiovascular pharmacology. As a Professor and senior consultant cardiologist at the University of Oslo since 2006, Stefan leads a research group dedicated to cardiovascular pharmacology, endothelial function, and registry studies. Previously, Stefan held the position of Head of the Coronary Care Unit at Karolinska University Hospital from 2001 to 2006 and served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Auckland University during 1997-1998. Stefan's educational background includes a PhD in Medicine and an MD, PhD from the University of Gothenburg, along with leadership training from Växjö University.
