Deputy Head Of Training And Research Unit/head Of Cepol Cybercrime Academy/head Of E-learning Sector at European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL)

Alexandru Caciuloiu serves as the Deputy Head of Training and Research Unit, Head of the CEPOL Cybercrime Academy, and Head of the E-Learning Sector at the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) since May 2022. Prior to this role, Alexandru coordinated the Cybercrime and Cryptocurrency Programme and worked as a Cybercrime Project Coordinator at UNODC from January 2017 to May 2022. Alexandru also gained experience as a Digital Crime Officer at INTERPOL from August 2013 to December 2016, contributing to specialized knowledge and training in cybercrime and cybersecurity. Earlier in the career, Alexandru investigated cybercrime, credit card fraud, and online child exploitation as a Cybercrime Investigator at the General Inspectorate of Romanian Police from August 2007 to August 2013. Alexandru holds a Master's Degree in Business Law in a Computer Based Society from Ovidius University Constanta and a bachelor's degree in Law from Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy Bucharest.
