Lutz Güllner

Head Of Strategic Communications (foreign Information Manipulation And Interference) at European External Action Service

Lutz Güllner has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to communications, trade, and strategic management. Lutz most recently served as the Head of Strategic Communications for Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference at the European External Action Service since October 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Communications at DG Trade in the European Commission from September 2015 to October 2017. Lutz also served as the Deputy Head of Trade Strategy from September 2013 to September 2015, and as a Trade Officer focusing on EU-US economic relations from July 2010 to September 2013.

Earlier in their career, Güllner worked as a Spokesperson at the European External Action Service from November 2009 to July 2010. Lutz also gained experience as an Associate at APCO Worldwide from September 1999 to May 2003, and as a Chargé de Mission at Ministère de l'Environnement from December 1998 to July 1999.

Lutz Güllner earned a Master of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Freie Universität Berlin from 1993 to 1998. Lutz also studied at Sciences Po, where they obtained another Master of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from 1995 to 1996.
