Panos Panayiotou currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Government of the Republic of Cyprus at the Deputy Ministry for Research, Innovation & Digital Policy since January 2023. Panos provides cybersecurity advisory services as a vCISO with GCC and contributes as a member of both the AHWG for the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework and the ad-hoc working group for the CSP Cybersecurity certification under ENISA. Additionally, Panos is a Digital, CyberSecurity and Innovation Advisor for ACBcyprus, an Executive Committee Member of the Digital Strategy Group at the European Banking Federation, and a Board of Advisors member for the CyberSecurity Programme at European University Cyprus. As the Founder and CEO of CIRCL3.TECH, Panos has previously held leadership roles including Chairman of the Cybersecurity Working Group for the Association of Cyprus Banks and Acting CISO for the Bank of Cyprus. Panos holds an M.Sc. in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Coventry University.
