Harald Walach

Harald Walach is a Professor of Research Methodology in Complementary Medicine at the European University Viadrina since January 2010 and serves as the Director of the Institute for Transcultural Health Sciences and the Samueli Institute European Office. Prior to this role, Harald Walach directed the Institute of Transcultural Health Studies at the Samueli Institute from 2000 to December 2013 and held the position of Research Professor in Psychology at the University of Northampton from August 2005 to December 2009. From 2000 to 2005, Harald Walach was the Director of Research in Complementary Medicine at the Institute of Environmental Medicine at University Hospital Freiburg in Germany. Educational credentials include a Habilitation in Psychology from the University of Freiburg, a Ph.D. in History and Theory of Science as well as a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Basel, and a Diploma/MSc in Psychology from the University of Freiburg.
