Athanasios Kalpakas

Athanasios Kalpakas is a seasoned business analyst currently employed at Europol since 2019, with a robust background in intelligence and IT roles. Prior experience includes serving as an intelligence officer with the Hellenic Coast Guard from 2011 to 2019 and a brief stint as an IT consultant at the Union of Hellenic Chambers in 2011. Athanasios also worked as a software engineer at Cedefop and held positions as an IT officer in the Hellenic Army's Research and Informatics Corps. Early career roles involved research associate positions at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Technical University of Crete. Athanasios holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Computer and Communication Systems from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete.
