Christian Opperman

Christian Opperman is a Senior Technologist and Quant Developer at Point72 since July 2020, specializing in equities and options, and supporting portfolio managers and technology teams across various asset classes. Prior to this role, Christian completed a Data Science Fellowship at NYC Data Science Academy, gaining expertise in machine learning and advanced statistics. Experience includes research and content creation at Chowbotics, project management for a multi-billion-dollar natural gas project at Mitsui & Co., and freelance translation services. Educational background includes a BA in Economics and Japanese from Dartmouth College, an MFA in Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College, and currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
