Jes Christensen

Jes Christensen is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in investigating war crimes, genocide, financial crimes, and cybercrime. Currently serving as a Detective Chief Inspector at the National Crime Unit, Jes has held this position since January 2021, following a long tenure with the National Commissioner of Police since April 1985. Jes's expertise spans various roles, including crime investigator, internet security advisor, and member of Europol's Expert Panel against Sexual Abuse of Children. With a solid educational background from Leiden University and other institutions focused on international criminal investigation, Jes is particularly skilled in financial intelligence, counter-terror financing, and computer forensic investigation. Jes has also contributed significantly to investigations related to piracy and crimes against humanity.
