Thomas Kirchberger

Thomas Kirchberger currently serves as a Seconded National Expert in the Corporate Communications Team at Europol, a position held since April 2022. Prior to this role, Thomas worked as a Legal Consultant in the Public Relations Department at the Federal Ministry of the Interior from January 2021 to April 2022 and as a Training Supervisor at the Federal Police Academy from December 2018 to December 2020. Thomas's experience also includes serving as a Legal Consultant in the Directorate for Public Relations and Communications at the Federal Ministry of Constitutional Affairs, Reforms, Deregulation and Justice, and a Research Assistant at the Institute for Public International Law, Air Law and International Relations at Johannes Kepler University. Thomas began a professional trajectory with a traineeship at the Austrian Embassy in Italy in September 2016. Academic qualifications include a Doctor iuris and a Magister iuris, both earned at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz.
