Xavier Monthieux

Xavier Monthieux is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in health and safety, rolling stock management, and operational excellence within the rail industry. Currently serving as the Head of Health and Safety, Quality, Environment (HSQE) and Training at Eurostar since October 2019, Xavier is responsible for building and managing a HSQE team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and providing training to employees to meet business objectives. Previously, as the Head of Rolling Stock for Eurostar France, Xavier oversaw compliance monitoring and inspections. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at SNCF, including Depot Operations Manager and Fleet Manager, where Xavier managed operational units and implemented safety management protocols. Xavier holds an Engineering degree in Material Sciences from Polytech Lille, a Postgraduate degree in Quality Management from Arts et Métiers, and an NVQ level 6 diploma in Health and Safety, with an Executive MBA in progress at Bayes Business School.
