Lorenzo Benedetti

Lorenzo Benedetti is an experienced professional in civil structural engineering, currently serving as the Director of Research and Development at EuroTube since October 2021, while also working as a Civil Structural Engineer at Benedetti and Partners since June 2020. Notably, Lorenzo was the Team Leader and Principal Technical Director at EPFL Hyperloop from September 2017 to December 2019, achieving 3rd place worldwide for two consecutive years in a competitive event with over 1000 participants, and successfully developing advanced systems for high-speed transportation prototypes. Lorenzo's academic background includes a PhD in Structural Analysis from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Columbia Engineering, along with significant postdoctoral and research experience in various prestigious institutions, including the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne.
