Preetam Cheeli

Preetam Cheeli is a Senior Solutions Engineer at UnitedHealth Group. Preetam has been with the company since February 2011 and has played a vital role in building and implementing virtualization solutions across their large distribution environment. Preetam is a key partner with other engineering and project teams, providing comprehensive and detailed solutions.

Preetam's extensive experience with VMware ESXi has been instrumental in the successful build-out of UnitedHealth Group's datacenter, which includes Cisco UCI blades and HP C7000 Enclosures with HP 460, 680c, and 620 blades. Preetam also implemented Active Directory with Infoblox DNS and deployed Windows 2016, 2012, and 2008 R2 VM's. Other successful implementations include Site Recovery Manager, SQL 2008 clusters (physical and virtual), and Bare Metal Servers.

In addition to their work with VMware, Preetam is also experienced with HP Proliant DL380 Gen10 and G9 servers. Preetam has successfully managed virtualization infrastructure with NAS storage, VM templates, and cloning. Preetam has also supported guest OS's (Windows and Linux), including upgrading from 4.1 to 5.0. Preetam's experience with server virtualization by physical to virtual (P2V) conversion has been crucial in maintaining the availability and continuity of UnitedHealth Group's virtualization environment.

Preetam Cheeli has a PGDSM in Systems Management from National Institute of Information Technology and a BSc in Botany Zoology Chemistry from Andhra University. Preetam also has a certification from Amazon Web Services in AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
