Sean Monaghan

Sean Monaghan has a strong background in financial management and leadership roles. Sean is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Evans Consoles, a global leader in providing innovative solutions for control room design and manufacturing. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2020, Sean worked as the Controller at Parkland Pipeline Contractors, where they oversaw financial systems, reporting, and project accounting. Before that, they served as the Corporate Services Controller at STARTEC Refrigeration, Compression & Process Solutions, and as a Controller at United Safety. Sean also has experience in the education sector, having worked as the Director of Business Information and Finance at Bow Valley College. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Vice President of Finance and Operations at FitzWright Company Ltd., Controller at Access Communications Co-Op Limited, and Accounting Information System Co-ordinator at Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. Sean began their professional journey as a Communications Lineman at the Department of National Defence. Sean Monaghan's education history begins in 1996 when they attended the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) and obtained a Diploma of Applied Arts (Dip AA). In 2000, they pursued a degree in Accounting and completed a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program at the Certified Management Accountants of Saskatchewan. Sean furthered their education in 2004 by studying Credit Management at the Credit Institute of Canada and acquiring a Financial Credit Institutions (FCI) degree. In 2005, Sean enrolled at Athabasca University, where they completed a Graduate Diploma in Management (GDM) and concurrently obtained another degree, the Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Sean's education journey continued in 2005 at Athabasca University again, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus that is unspecified. Lastly, in 2012, they attended the Chartered Global Management Accountant program to earn the CGMA degree in Accounting.
