Houston Harwood is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Criminal Justice Reporter for the Evansville Courier & Press since January 2022, where a focus is placed on accountability journalism. In parallel, Houston contributes to WUFT News as part of the Fresh Take Florida team, producing high-caliber investigative and political content, including a notable investigation that earned recognition in the Hearst Student Journalism Awards. Houston's background also includes roles as a Multimedia Intern and Digital Producer at WUFT, a Digital Producer and Editor at Atrium Magazine, and a Staff Photographer for The Independent Florida Alligator. Educational achievements include a degree in Journalism from the University of Florida and an Associate of Arts from Eastern Florida State College.
