Vernon Lutz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law enforcement and information technology. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer for the City of Evansville-Vanderburgh County since March 2021, Lutz previously held the role of Deputy Chief of the Evansville Police Department, with a focus on Information Technology from 2010 to 2021. Additional experience includes serving as an Adjunct Instructor at ITT Technical Institute and as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, where Lutz was a member of the 1-163rd Field Artillery Unit. Lutz's early career includes serving as Town Marshal in Dale, Indiana. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration, both from Oakland City University.
