Carlos Deza has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Carlos has worked as a Vessel Master, Terminal Operations Supervisor, and Safety, Security, and Training Coordinator at the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District. Carlos has also worked as a Freelance Captain and Chief Officer in the Maritime Industry, managing vessels and crews while adhering to regulatory procedures. Carlos has experience as a Captain at Alcatraz Cruises, LLC and as a Chief Mate and Junior DP Operator at Gallatin Marine. Carlos has also worked as a Captain and Operator at Westar Marine Services, as well as a Delivery Captain and Mate on various yachts. Carlos has extensive experience in yacht operations, including serving as a New Build Project Manager, First Officer, and Co-Captain for the M/Y Mr. Terrible. Carlos has also worked as a Chief Mate on the M/Y Revelation and as a Mate, 2nd Engineer, and Refit Project Manager on the M/Y Dolce Far Niente. Prior to that, Carlos worked as a Captain at Pacific Marine Yachts/Signature Yacht Events, operating luxury motor yachts for corporate and private events on the San Francisco Bay.

Carlos Deza completed their Bachelor's degree in Communications (Film & TV Production) at Saint Mary's College of California from 1978 to 1982. Apart from their formal education, they also hold a certification as a USCG Master, 1600 GRT/ 3000 GT, OCEANS.
