Karim Premji, CFAA, CET has been working in the security industry since 2011. In that time, they have held a variety of roles. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Vipond Inc. First for Fire Protection, Life Safety & Security as a Security Sales, Project Coordinator, and Technical Trainer. During this time, they were responsible for developing new business in Healthcare, Government, Retail, and Manufacturing, providing estimates and proposals for Enterprise security systems, and logging customers and leads into CRM. Karim also served as a Network Administrator, designing, programming, and providing Cisco POE Switch and Router deployments for subsequent installations of Cisco CUCM VoIP and Wi-Fi services. Additionally, they migrated small-to-medium branches onto new Windows domains, and supported end users with issues relating to initial client-machine set-up, mail, mobile device management, network connectivity, and general technical support. From 2013 to 2011, they worked at Habtech Communications, a Vipond Inc. Company, as a Security Systems Integrator. During this time, they configured managed Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches for isolation of networks in a LAN containing 50+ hosts, integrated and commissioned multidisciplinary SCADA systems, and programmed a network of controllers in Rockwell's ControlLogix series of PLC. From 2019 to 2021, Karim Premji worked at Stealth Monitoring, Inc. as a Sales Engineer, and currently works at Eventbase as a Sales Engineer and at PreSales Collective as a Member.
Karim Premji's education history includes completing an Electrical Engineering Technology degree from Mohawk College between 2016 and 2018, a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from Mohawk College between 2009 and 2011, a Certificate in Electrical Pre-Trade from Sheridan College between 2008 and 2009, and attending Woodlands Secondary School between 2002 and 2008. Karim has also obtained certifications from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) for Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) in July 2018, from the Canadian Fire Alarm Association for CFAA in November 2015, from Amazon Web Services (AWS) for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in July 2020, and from Axis Communications for Axis Certified Professional in September 2018.
