Archana Ganapathi

Archana Ganapathi has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Archana is currently serving as the Head of Data Analytics/Engineering/Science at Eventbrite, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to this, Archana worked at Splunk where they held several roles. Archana served as the Senior Director of Data and Insights from November 2019 to June 2021, overseeing product analytics and empirical modeling for cross-functional initiatives. Before that, they were the Director of Data Strategy from November 2015 to October 2019, and also held positions as an Analytics Segment Architect, Analytics Practice Manager, and Research Engineer at Splunk.

Archana started their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley from August 2003 to December 2009. Archana also gained experience as a Research Intern and Consultant at Hewlett Packard Laboratories from June 2007 to May 2008. Additionally, they worked as a Software Design Engineer at Microsoft in May 2005 and as a Research Intern at Microsoft Research Ltd in 2003. Archana also served as a Software Engineer at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in 2002 and completed internships at Hewlett Packard, Enterprise Java Labs in 2001 and 2000.

Throughout their career, Archana has developed expertise in data analytics, engineering, and science. Archana has demonstrated strong leadership skills in managing cross-functional partnerships in order to deliver analytics-informed strategies and operations.

Archana Ganapathi obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, between 2000 and 2002. Archana then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at the same institution from 2003 to 2005. Finally, they completed their education at the University of California, Berkeley, by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science between 2005 and 2009.
