Rafa Haro has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Rafa has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in technical engineering and research.

Rafa started their career as an R&D Engineer at Natural Language, where they worked for almost six years. During this time, they focused on developing multimodal Intelligent Dialogue Systems and architectures for Virtual Assistants that can be accessed through text and voice interfaces.

Rafa then moved on to Zaizi, where they became the Head of Research for Zaizi Labs. Here, they led an R&D group that focused on bringing Semantic Technologies, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning into innovative ECM solutions.

After Zaizi, Rafa joined RedLink GmbH as an NLP Engineer. Rafa worked on the design and development of text-analysis engines like Named Entity Recognizers and Entity Disambiguators using platforms such as Apache Stanbol, Apache Marmotta, and Apache Solr.

Rafa's next role was as a Senior Software Engineer at Athento: Smart Document Management. Here, they contributed to the design and development of automatic document classification engines and metadata extraction algorithms using NLP and Image Processing techniques with Machine Learning approaches.

Rafa then worked as a Technical Architect at Ixxus, where they played a crucial role in the technical architecture of projects.

Later, Rafa joined Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) as a Search Architect, where they focused on search-related technologies.

Rafa also has experience as a Co-founder and CTO at DWX, a company they co-founded. Rafa held this position for nearly a year.

Rafa has also worked at Personio as a Freelance Backend Engineer, primarily working with Elasticsearch.

Currently, Rafa is a Staff Engineer at Eventbrite, where they continue to utilize their technical expertise.

Rafa Haro began their education at the Universidad de Sevilla, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science Engineering from 2000 to 2005. Following this, they enrolled at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. from 2009 to 2011, achieving a Master of Science degree in Linguistic Technologies and Data Mining. In 2015, Rafa attended the Escuela de Organización Industrial, completing an Executive Master of Innovation Management with a specialization in Research and Development Management.
